The ultra-packable SuperStrand LT Jacket is our lightest, softest, most compressible synthetic down hoodie for four-season warmth. Sharing a name with our VerticalX™ SuperStrand technology, the SuperStrand LT Jacket is as light and lofty as 700-800 fill down while retaining warm-when-wet performance qualities. Its ripstop nylon fabric resists abrasions and shields against wind and light precipitation. A unique discontinuous quilting pattern reduces stitching and creates an uninterrupted warmth flow. Additionally, this piece packs into an ultralight average of 10 oz. and compresses down to the size of your palm. The SuperStrand LT Jacket gives you the best warmth-to-weight ratio, ideal for wearing over base layers and layering under hard shells for whatever weather and temperature you encounter.

Use a down-specific detergent and follow the directions on the bottle. Traditional detergent can strip down of its natural oils and negatively affect the loft and performance.
A front-loading washing machine is preferred, though a top-loader will work just fine on a hand-wash or delicate setting.
Down items will have better loft, which directly equates to better performance (keeping you warm), if you use a dryer rather than line drying. To help break up clumps and redistribute the down, include 2 clean tennis balls or a large heavy-cotton bath towel in the dryer. Be patient, it will take a few dryer cycles to be completely dry and lump-free.
