Norrona's lightest waterproof ski/snowboard pants developed for ski touring.

These lightweight shell pants are designed for freeride-minded ski touring and are suitable for general skiing activities, all-year mountaineering, and hiking.

The pants are made in premium GORE-TEX® PRO fabric, and we use this because it’s the world-leading quality for durable waterproofness (28,000mm), optimized breathability, and total windproofness.

The main fabric is a 3-layer 70D GORE-TEX® PRO most breathable fabric (RET less than 9) with a 100% recycled nylon face to ensure durable, reliable weather protection and optimized breathability. It has a solution-dyed rip-stop backer. The bottom leg is reinforced with a lightweight 200D Vectran fabric to increase durability where the pants tend to rub against boots or steel edges.

Key features include: A Custom-Fit Waist system for easy customization, side venting from hip to below the knee with two-way zippers, two strategically placed thigh pockets, and a small key pocket. Zipper openings from the lower leg that run up to the boot shaft enable easy width adjustment to accommodate walk and ski modes. Snap tightening under the knee enables tightening around the leg to prevent loose fabric when using crampons, and it has integrated lightweight adjustable snow gaiters.

The pants are compatible with the mountaineering bib. The pants have a regular fit with articulated knees and seat for optimal touring mobility.

    The fit will describe the width of the body and arms of the jacket. Arm length, and jacket length is not influenced by the fit. *This product is Regular Fit.

      Really well functioning new features

      I bought these pants before a skiing holiday in the Alpes. I wanted pants that would function both for downhill skiing and for nordic skiing. I tried both, and the pants are perfect. They are really easy to make more narrow around the lower legs for nordic skiing or for walking, and wider for downhill skiing. Well done Norröna!

          Great fit..

          I purchased these online from New Zealand. Love the colour and the feel of them on. I have not worn them yet but am heading to Canada for a month in February for lift skiing and ski touring. My measurements are in between an XS and S. I had previously got an XS and sent them back for the S as they were a little tight. I did get the hems taken up a little.

          GORE-TEX® products should be washed after approximately 150 hours of use or when dirty. The garments are not harmed by washing - on the contrary, this will prolong the life of the garment. Normal washing instructions for GORE-TEX® garments are:

          1. Close all zippers and velcros.
          2. Wash at 40 degrees with a mild detergent. Do not use softening, rinsing agents or bleach as they can damage the fabric's water-resistant properties (not the membrane/ waterproofing) and the color of the fabric. Rinse the garment twice if possible.
          3. Use water repellent spray on the face of the garment after washing for optimal water-resistance (this does not affect the waterproof quality of the membrane, but makes it easier for water to roll off the face fabric).
          4. Dry the garment on a low setting in the dryer or iron it at a low temperature. Warmth helps to reactivate the waterproofing. The garment must be dry before washing and before being put away.
