You can absolutely rely on the Makalu FX TA! This trekking pole is equipped with the new Aergon Air. This latest generation of grip has been optimized for comfort and control and improved in countless ways. The special hollow core technology combines lightweight construction with large, supportive surfaces that meet all the ergonomic requirements of your hand. Maximum grip and control when going downhill is provided by Aergon Air´s rubberized grip back. The inclined angle supports your wrist for optimal guidance and placement of the pole and contributes to safety on the mountain. The grip extension provides an additional grip option when walking uphill. Thanks to the Speed Lock plus, the stable yet lightweight folding aluminum pole can be adjusted in seconds. Off to the next mountain tour!
AERGON AIR
The LEKI Makalu FX TA hiking pole is equipped with our Aergon Air grip. It combines lightness with stability. Its ergonomic shape provides maximum comfort, while the full rubber grip head provides absolute control.
LOCK SECURITY STRAP – SKIN 4.0
The LEKI Makalu FX TA has an adjustable strap with a safety release. It is ultra-light, very breathable and offers maximum comfort.
GRIP EXTENSION
Grip extension for simple grip adjustment on steep terrain or when traversing.

EXTERNAL LOCKING DEVICE (ELD)
The ELD System makes it possible to open and close the folding pole quickly with the push of a button. The special construction surrounding the trigger button provides for more stability.

The TÜV Süd-certified adjustment system works via an external clamping mechanism which allows for easy adjustments and offers maximum hold.

TREKKING BASKET 2.0
Compact trekking basket. Compatible with every Flextip. Protects against sinking into snow and mud and can be easily changed by hand.
