The Scalpel 2 is a light, fast, and thrilling XC machine, capable of winning races or just blurring the trail around you.

It’s built on a frame made of Cannondale's advanced Series 1 carbon construction, features a SRAM GX Eagle T-Type wireless electronic 1x12-speed drivetrain, premium RockShox SID Select+ suspension both front and rear and their light and fast HollowGram XC-S 27 carbon wheelset round out the build.

Every element of the Scalpel’s form is driven by function above all – kinematics, weight, stiffness, and capability.

Rise to speed on any course. The XC-27 wheelset was engineered to conquer singletrack as quickly as possible, able to make easy work of steep climbs and rough descents.

FlexPivot stays are key to Scalpel’s incredible suspension performance and low weight.

These patented carbon sections act as virtual Horst link pivots, creating a true four-bar link suspension that allows our engineers to precisely tailor how the suspension responds to pedaling, braking, and bump forces, without the weight or maintenance of bearings.

More travel and more capable geometry meant re-thinking tires, too. The 2.4-inch tires on the new Scalpel are higher in volume than conventionally narrower XC tires, meaning more traction and more control, even in the rough stuff.
