INNOVATIVE EVOLUTION The Free Aero RC Short is Castelli's top race short, which also means that it's insanely comfortable even if you never pin on a number. It's fair to say that they've been working on this short for the past 15 years. That's how long it's been since the original Free Aero Race Short was first introduced, initially as their top-of-the-line race short. Since then it has won three Tours de France, three Giri d'Italia, one Vuelta and San Remo, but it also became the best-selling product in the history of Castelli because, simply put, this is the short that does everything well. The concept is quite simple: start with the best pad that Castelli knows how to make, surround it with a supportive short with good muscle compression, and then remove everything else that's not absolutely necessary. You feel Free thanks to the reduced number of panels and the reduced number of seams. In fact, the short portion has just 5 panels compared to 10 in the previous generation. You feel Free because of further refinements to the Progetto X2 Air seamless seat pad. The two densities of foam plus the gel pads provide progressive damping, while the separate Skin Care Layer is soft and stretchy to move with your skin. You feel Free because this is the first high-end short that doesn't need any sort of gripper or elastic at the end of the leg to keep the leg in place. Getting this right meant 28 prototypes and our most extensive test program ever, and it results in the most comfortable leg ending Castelli has ever made. The Forza 2 fabric has 32% Lycra® with a high modulus for exceptional muscle support and just the right amount of compression. There's reflective piping on the back. And all logos are either stitched or embossed for durability.

The intangible part that you'll appreciate most is our knack for building in perfect fit, thanks to the Castelli pattern engineering team. This is the short that brings the best of Castelli's know-how in building comfort performance shorts into an accessible product in your cycling wardrobe.

Castelli set out to create their warmest bootie ever, which meant rethinking how booties are made. For the windproofing we went with GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fleece-backed fabric, which also lets more moisture escape than any other windproof fabric. Then we added a second fleece layer with Polartec® Power Stretch® Pro™, which is unrivaled in overall loft. The two layers are thick enough that we had to do a wheel well single-layer construction by the ball of the foot to prevent the fabric from rubbing on the crank. Castelli made the bootie high for extra warmth and gave reasonable splash protection. Weight: 266 g

When Castelli puts the name Premio on a product, that's what it is, premium. This glove uses technology from the Premio bibshort on the back of the hand. The stretch woven fabric provides all-day comfort and support. For easy on and off they use a Velcro wrist closure that also keeps the glove in place. One of the most important parts of the glove is the palm: it needs to protect, and it's also one of the four points you use to contact the bike. The Castelli Damping System protects the median nerve, and silicone grips make sure you always have a good grip on the bar. If you are looking for a premium glove or product to keep you comfortable all day, look no further than Premio.

When Castelli set out to make this bibshort, the idea was to make the short that they would grab the moment it's dry after being washed, no matter what kind of ride is on the calendar for that day. So that's what they did. First, Castelli developed a soft, stretchy fabric that feels amazing on the skin the second you put the short on. This fabric forms and moves with the body without being tight or constrictive. They paid extra attention to the fit to make sure everything stays where you want it, but they added silicone gripper at the leg ending just to make sure your tan line stays crisp. The mesh bib straps are stretchy while allowing extra ventilation. Of course, they've used their Progetto X2 Air seat pad for all-day comfort. Finally, Castelli added some extra details like a rear pocket for storage and reflective tabs for added safety. All of this makes the Espresso our, and your, new favorite bibshort.

You can officially only rate these warmers at UPF 50+, but in the laboratory tests they actually blocked 99.8 percent of damaging UV rays. Castelli used a polyester base that is not only more effective than nylon at blocking UV rays but is also much better at keeping you dry, which means these arm sleeves are better in both cooler and warmer conditions. Castelli kept the construction very clean to eliminate seams that can rub, and used the double-sided silicone elastic to make sure they stay in place. They fold up extremely small, so they’re great to stick in your pockets for your next big mountain day.

This short gives you every reason to step up to Castelli. They have innovation in our DNA. They've brought you most of the innovations in a cycling short over the years: the first Lycra® shorts on the market and the first flat leg grippers. All these advances have become industry standards, and they keep pushing and innovating in high-end shorts. The Entrata short is where all that knowledge and experience trickles down into a short that just plain works. The fabric is just the right weight with just the right stretch and with a matte finish that looks just right. The KISS Air2 seat pad is just right, as is the GIRO3 leg gripper. And the short fits just right because they obsess over the fit of every short we make. Castelli wanted this short to be just right for many years to come, so they stitch on the logos and stitch in the reflective panels on the back. The Entrata short is just right for you.

The mesh back of hand and perforated premium AX Suede synthetic palm make this glove extremely comfortable. We gave it medium-density foam through the palm to satisfy riders who don't want a bulky glove, but we kept the Castelli Damping System median nerve padding. It features a microsuede nose wipe over the thumb, and the Velcro closure makes it easy to get on and off.

The perfect solid-color jersey with all the Castelli technical details for performance on every ride. Anima means "soul" in Italian, and that’s what this jersey captures. The previous version of the Anima was a favorite, but Castelli felt we could make it better. Aside from some small cosmetic updates, the biggest improvement is an update to the ProSecco Velo Donna fabric to make it softer and more comfortable. This Italian-made fabric is exclusive to Castelli and makes the new Anima 4 feel like it can’t be an entry-level jersey. The details on this jersey are what set it apart: the perfect fit, the raised stitching detailing, the classy discreet logos, the easy-sliding zipper, and the reflective details. And one final feature to make you choose this jersey is the sun protection. This fabric is rated at UPF 45, meaning it’s filtering out nearly 98% of harmful UV rays despite weighing only 120 grams per square meter.

The Dolcissima is Castelli's most minimalist glove, created to protect your palm on the bar or in case you should topple over. It has thinner medium-density foam to reduce bulk in the palm, while the back of the hand has been trimmed away at the wrist for minimal coverage and maximum comfort.

The Premio Bibshort has been engineered to provide the ultimate in long-distance comfort and to be your favorite bibshort ever. That's a big claim, but there's a lot of research and development in this short to back it up. The seat pad is central to the Premio’s exceptional comfort and the top-of-the-line Progetto X2 Air Seamless pad is actually two separate components: a soft, stretchy Skin Care Layer next to your skin, which has the sole purpose of preventing any rubbing on your skin, and, under that, the Cushioning Layer, which features two separate densities of foam along with breathable perforated gel inserts under the ischia bones and perineum. Comfort continues through the construction of the short with reduced seams and only 3 panels. Castelli engineered a new fabric that changes depending on the needs over various parts of the body. The lower leg has a raw-cut leg ending and rubberized yarns to guarantee a flat grip to keep the leg in place. The fabric becomes lighter in the thigh, while the four-way stretch provides just the right amount of muscle support. In the pelvis area, the compression and support increase to keep the seat pad and everything else in place,. At the back there’s a thicker fabric to avoid any transparency issues. The premium fabrics extend to the bib straps. The perforated back keeps you cool and the edge is bonded so you don’t feel the thickness of a stitched edge. The elastic straps have just enough modulus (return) to hold your shorts securely in place without cutting in to your shoulders. Castelli carried the less-is-more theme into the design, with minimalist laser-etched logos and subtle finishing. It looks as premium as it feels. You can tell that every component, every stitch, every detail has been obsessed over. You'll not find a better bibshort.

Whether you're racing or guiding your gravel bike on a technical section, you need a secure grip on the handlebar. This glove brings great palm grip with a secure Velcro closure along with significant padding for long rides (or for cyclists who just prefer extra padding). Castelli has reinterpreted the classic wind vest to make it as svelte as the rest of your wardrobe. This vest is designed to completely block the wind on the front while allowing ample breathability on the back. The fabrics are so impossibly light that you'll be surprised at how much warmer you stay with this vest over your standard jersey. But the magic comes from the cut and the stretch fabric on the back, which take up all the loose fabric and make the vest fit close to body without feeling tight or looking ridiculous. When you’re ready to take it off, the vest folds into its rear pocket and stashes away, taking up minimal space in your jersey pocket.
