Details

The Infinity Alpine is engineered for fast and light winter ascents, filled with 800FP RDS down and built with a GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® weather-resistant outer.

This highly protective down jacket has evolved from the definitive high mountain Infinity Jacket. Lighter in weight, with a closer, regular fit, it excels on alpine style, high energy ascents in winter weather.

The Infinity Alpine uses two weights of GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER®. The outer is reinforced on the shoulders, upper body, and outer arms for better protection in rugged terrain. Highly breathable, windproof and water resistant with a soft feel, this jacket is perfect for winter climbing and mountaineering.

Built using advanced Interstitch construction, the Infinity Alpine has overhanging baffles with clever internal stitching, ensuring water is channelled away from the body, minimising water ingress. Filled with 800FP RDS down with a Nikwax hydrophobic treatment, the Infinity Alpine maximises the warmth to weight ratio and copes with damp conditions.

Extremely lightweight for this level of warmth and protection it can compress down easily and be packed away in its stuff sack.

It has a fully adjustable, helmet compatible, down-filled hood with a stiffened peak for increased protection and a two-way YKK VISLON front zip for ease of use with a harness.

Designed to excel on vertical missions the Infinity Alpine has articulated sleeves for complete mobility, adjustable cuffs for use with gloves and multiple pockets.

GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® garments are totally windproof, water resistant, and very breathable—protecting you where other jackets won't

The membrane integrated into these jackets blocks all wind keeping you warmer and more comfortable for longer

Jackets using Gore-Tex Infinium re designed to resist light rain and snow which means light rain beads up and rolls off so you can stay comfortable

Moisture from sweat vapour can easily escape through the innovative membrane so you bodys microclimate stays balanced

Created using an ultra-thin protective layer laminated to a lightweight textile, GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® products are totally windproof. Although textiles such as microfibers, closely woven fabrics and many fleece materials are often termed windproof, even light winds can penetrate most of these fabrics, making you feel chilled and uncomfortable. By Gore’s standards, a fabric can only be considered truly windproof if its air permeability is 1.0 cfm (< 5 l/m2/s) or less. It’s a standard that our products easily meet. The membrane technology in GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® products has billions of pores that are 900 times larger than water vapor molecules, so even though wind can’t get in, moisture from sweat vapor can easily get out.

In addition to the GORE® membrane technology, a durable water repellent (DWR) treatment is applied to most of these products. This penetrates a jacket’s outer fibers, lowering the surface tension so that water beads up and rolls off. That means less water accumulation, resulting in less wind chill, and less extra weight.

Choose GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® insulated garments for an extra layer of protection from the cold, so you can stay active even in the colder months.
