How to Purge and Backflush a Platypus® GravityWorks™ Water Filter
This video will show you how to purge and backflush a GravityWorks water filter. Learn more about the GravityWorks: https://bit.ly/3slj91h 00:00:33 - Purging air trapped in GravityWorks filter 00:00:53 - Backflushing the GravityWorks filter Air purging and backflushing your GravityWorks are critical steps to ensuring you’re maximizing flow rate and increasing the life of your water filter. Purging air trapped in the system helps to release any air bubbles trapped in the filter media that can slow or even halt the filtering process. Backflushing rinses out particulate trapped in the filter media, and helps to prolong the life of your filter. We recommend backflushing ¼ liter of water for every 6 liters filtered (depending on water clarity/quality).
