Details

Designed for the adventurous cyclist whether they ride dirt or pavement, the new Hubba Hubba Bikepack 1-person tent has been meticulously designed for life on two wheels. Thoughtful features that all cyclists will appreciate married with spacious performance make this tent best-in-class.

The Inside:
The true rectangular floor (no foot taper) is large enough for all your gear and 38 inches (0.97 m) of headroom lets you sit up comfortably. The tent body is a blend of mesh and solid fabric that provides airflow, privacy and weather protection. The no-curve tent door features zippers that are easy to use with one hand. It also zips closed to a single point so you always know where to open the door, even in the dark. Tech-friendly pockets feature cable ports at the corners for charging cords, and large overhead gear loft pockets are perfect for gloves, sunglasses and other quick-access items. An interior clothesline and optional but included exterior clothesline provide ample space to hang damp gear.

The Outside:
The rectangular tent design means you can set up the Hubba in a flash, particularly useful in those unexpected rainstorms. Strong, lightweight DAC poles are sized to fit perfectly on your handlebars when packed. These shorter poles are also good for kayak campers who want to fit a tent more easily in their boat storage. A waterproof coating and taped seams keep the Hubba stable and dry so you can ride out weather in comfort. The stealth-green rainfly features an extra-large vestibule for storing any cycling gear you don’t want inside. The easy in-and-out vestibule door has a StayDry™ rain gutter to keep dripping water off you and your gear, and a kickstand vent maximizes airflow.

The Handlebar Bag:
The meticulously designed waterproof handlebar storage bag fits on any bike, whether it has flat or drop bars. Included optional spacers hold the bag away from the bars so it doesn’t eat up valuable real estate for other items. The bag also has a reflective logo for increased visibility on the road, and loops to tie on additional gear. Its small, packed size also means you can easily fit it in panniers, a frame bag or a backpack.

The Bottom Line:
With excellent on-bike stability and feature-rich camp comfort, the Hubba Hubba Bikepack tent will quickly become your new favorite home-away-from home.

Why should I get a footprint?
We recommend that you use an MSR footprint (sold separately) underneath your tent. Customized to fit each specific model, it will not only keep your tent floor clean and dry, but it will also protect it from excessive abrasion, prolonging the life of the tent. In addition, some of our tents can be set up with just the footprint and fly, creating an incredibly light, minimalist alternative to a full tent.
How do I prevent mildew?
One of the easiest ways to damage your tent is by not drying it as quickly as possible after it gets wet. Storing a wet tent for as little as 24 hours in warm weather is likely to start the process of mildew formation. Mildew can permanently damage the waterproof coatings by causing them to separate from the fabric, but mild to severe staining is more common. Mildew stains are permanent. They cannot be removed without potential harm to the fabric coatings and are not covered by warranty. Even when your tent appears to be dry after use, it is always best to assure it is completely dry before storing. Hang it outside or pile it loosely in your house for a few days, turning it inside and out to assure it has dried everywhere. Never machine dry your tent as the heat can melt the fabric.
How do I seam seal my tent?
If you start to notice leaks along your seams, seam sealing can make them waterproof again, extending the life of your tent. The process can be easier than you might think. We put together this video to help guide you through.
What's the best way to clean my tent?
Cleaning your tent is not necessary unless it has an offensive odor or becomes heavily soiled. If heavily soiled, the pressure from a regular garden hose will remove most loose dirt. For more severe cleaning, set up your tent and hand wash it with warm water, a sponge and mild, non-detergent soap. Do not use dishwashing liquid, detergent, bleach, pre-soaking solutions, or spot removers. Rinse well. Dry your tent by pitching it or line-drying it. Never dry clean, machine- wash or machine-dry your tent. Any of these methods can remove all the waterproof coatings from the tent.
