Details
Combining the best of both worlds, the Tecton is a lightweight touring binding that performs like an alpine binding on the downhill.
By utilizing the pin toe unit of the Vipec bindings, the Tecton remains nimble for the uphill.
However, once it’s time to rip skins and charge, the Tecton’s innovative heel-locking lever provides the serious power transfer and security you’d normally reserve for a heavier binding, while also providing a solid connection from boot to binding to ski.
Weight: 1100 g (Pair) w/out brakes
DIN Release Range: 5-13
Alpine heel with rail
Direct, full power transmission with a stable Alpine heel jaw and exceptional rails, which hold the boot even more securely than an Alpine binding.
Dynamic length compensation
Consistent full edge grip and unlimited agility due to the dynamic, incomparable 10 mm length compensation for the natural flex of the ski.
Optimal material mix
Maximum stability and resilience at the lowest weight due to the optimally coordinated use of high tech materials.
The integrated safety technologies of Alpine bindings with lateral release in the toe and frontal release in the heel assure a secure hold in any situation and prevent injuries. The high elasticity of the release and a DIN setting of up to 13 provide confidence with control and safety.
When choosing a binding, it is important to remember that boot, binding and ski form a system which only functions optimally when its components are perfectly tuned to each other. As a basic rule, put together boots, bindings and skis designed for the same areas of use.
The interaction between boot and binding is particularly relevant to safety. The evolution has led to a variety of products with technical differ-ences most particularly among the boots. The result of these developments is that not every boot will optimally function in all bindings or it may not even fit.
