SynMat HL Winter is designed to be the lightest 4-season sleeping mat on the planet. Tapered design, 20 denier fabric, microfiber insulation and 9 cm thickness create a balance of features that respect the most weight and bulk conscious winter campers. This mat also offers the warmth needed for cold sleepers in spring and summer conditions. It packs to an extremely small size and it's tapered profile fits into the smallest tents.
Next-to-skin comfort and anti-slip GripSkin honeycomb-pattern coating. Laminate is air tight and impervious to hydrolysis.
Clever Pumpsack included: The Schnozzel Pumpbag allows you to inflate the mat instantly while preventing humidity from your breath affecting the insulation. It also doubles as an ultra lightweight compression stuffsack.
Weight: 601g / 21.2oz
R-Value: 5.2 (-20C / -4F)
-Baffles welded between the microfiber filled air chambers eliminate cold spots and create a thick, comfortable, and stable air cushion.
-Air cells on the sides are thicker and give the mat a cradle shape that prevents you from rolling off the mat.
-The dual purpose flat valve with one-way flap ensures swift inflation with the Schnozzel Pumpsack. Insert the attached pin into the valve for simple deflation. The valve is durable and protected from damage due to the flat design.
-Ingenious taperd shape allows 2 mats to be placed next to each other in the smallest of tents

EXPED HL and UL products carry a 2 year limited warranty. All other products carry a 5 year warranty on defects in materials and workmanship. At our discretion, EXPED will repair or replace any part that fails due to a manufacturing defect. Failures due to normal wear, negligence, and acts of nature can usually be repaired for a nominal charge.
Dirt is the number one enemy of any textile product as minute dust grains abrade the fabrics. Therefore we recommend you wash the mat from time to time with mild soap and lukewarm water. Never machine wash, dry clean or tumble dry.
Keep the mat away from heat sources such as fire or a car or tent during the day. The air within the mat can expand and put extreme pressure on baffles, seams and laminates which can then lead to ruptured seam or malfunction.
Keep the mat away from sharp objects like thorns, corals, rocks or branches and dogs.
Do not use mechanical pumps as they can generate excess pressure which can lead to seam delamination.
Keep valves clean as dirt or sand can have negative effects on the airtight seal. Use a little water to wipe the valve clean.
If you move the mat from warm to cold places, or inflate the mat while temperature as warm and then they drop you will experience a loss of pressure in the mat which may lead you to believe the mat is punctured. This is not the case, it is just contraction of the warm air and physics.
In extreme cold the foam of the integrated pump may freeze up, especially when humid. In such a case it helps to warm up the pump by holding it close to the body, sitting on it or placing a bottle of warm water on it.
Changes of pressure: quick changes from sealevel to mountain heights can lead to partial vacuum and make it hard to open the valve. Open them prior to travel.
Mat as chair: we recommend using the ExpedChairKit which allows you to convert your mat to a chair our lounger as well as offering additional protection against abrasion, dirt and punctures.
As with any air filled product, a mat can puncture. For extended or expedition use we recommend the Exped Mat Cover as this offers additional protection.
Store your mat unrolled and with open valves in a dry, cool and dark place such as under your bed or the attic.
