Intended for high output use during the warmer months, the Assos Mille GT Short Sleeve Jersey is poised to become your new daily workhorse with the requisite UV protection for hours spent under the glare of the sun. Patterned in Assos' Regular Fit, this summer jersey is less racy than others in the collection, offering a full range of motion and flexibility and rendering it a great choice for Sunday rides and post-work loops. As part of the Mille GT collection, this jersey focuses strictly on the essentials, so you get protection, performance, and comfort at a great price. The practical pockets now feature longer reflective stripes for visibility to other road users, as well as sporting Assos' "triple ramp" pocket design with internal seams that create a barely-there lid that keeps the contents secure.
The choice of the cognoscenti, the performance-focused Assos SS Equipe Jersey Evo8 is ready for serious riding. Cut in their slimline Racing Fit, wearers of the SS Equipe Jersey Evo8 look and feel like they mean business from the moment it goes on. Indeed, every consideration has gone into making this summer riding jersey feel right on the tarmac. Note the subtle v-neck, a cut that means obstruction to the throat is reduced in the racing position. The bonded zip, sleeves, and waist all help reduce drag, and each fabric choice is informed by the need to keep weight to a minimum. A premium performance jersey must ensure comfort isn’t neglected and to that end, Assos' new 3D knit miniCheck Tex fabric offers rapid drying and increased airflow. This is equipment ready for however hard you want to push. And while this jersey is made for riding on the drops, not posing in coffee shops, there’s no denying the swagger of the asymmetrical design with its monogrammed Assos sleeve. A worthy sibling to the revered T Equipe s7 bib shorts, it’s really little wonder the Assos test team members elect to use the SS Equipe Jersey Evo8 day in and day out.
Assos have worked closely with their professional athlete partners to create their 2018 short-sleeve jerseys, and the result has brought us to what you see here: a superlight aerodynamic jersey that addresses the small fit and comfort details that become noticed only after countless hours in the saddle. Assos airy miniCheck Tex is used for the front panel, which is a highly elastic 3D knit fabric that’s been specifically developed with breathability in mind. At the rear, they have incorporated their Dribbling textile, which stabilizes the jersey with its limited vertical-stretch composition, especially when the pockets are loaded up. The aggressive in-saddle position these riders take also informed their material choice for the arms, dropped collar, rear shoulder panel, and pockets, which needed to be as buttery smooth and flexible as possible. The fine-gauge warp knit Push Pull textile answered the call, providing high UV protection (UPF 50+) along with its quick-drying, bi-stretch properties.
Designed with the Global Triathlon Network’s high-visibility colorways, the Pro Training Jersey is made using light, breathable textiles for all-day comfort in the saddle. The body-mapped paneling follows their proven regularFit pattern, complemented by its light, fast-drying double yarn textile that excels in moving moisture away from the skin. From there, we borrowed a few design cues from their favorite long-distance jerseys, including an open mesh at the underarms for increased airflow, their proprietary reinforced pocket system that stabilizes the cargo load, fold-over stitching at the cuffs and front hem, a slim full-length zipper, and a light silicone grip along the rear hem for a locked-in hold, regardless of upper body position.
