When Castelli set out to make this bibshort, the idea was to make the short that we would grab the moment it's dry after being washed, no matter what kind of ride is on the calendar for that day. So that's what they did. First, they found a soft, stretchy fabric that feels amazing on the skin the second you put the short on. This fabric forms and moves with the body without being tight or constrictive. They paid extra attention to the fit to make sure everything stays where you want it, but we added silicone gripper at the leg ending just to make sure your tan line stays crisp. The mesh bib straps are stretchy while allowing extra ventilation. Of course, they've used their Progetto X2 Air Donna seat pad for all-day comfort. This is our midrange performance short, great for a long ride or a quick hour workout indoors or out. Our Endurance Evolution fabric is a high-modulus, very matte Lycra® fabric that feels extremely dry while providing just the right amount of compression. At the leg ending we use a raw-cut edge with vertical silicone strips to keep the leg in place without the pressure that creates the dreaded sausage effect. The bib straps are stretchy enough that you can pull the short down for a pee break without removing your jersey and bibs, while the floating construction allows you to cross the straps on the front or the back, whichever works better for you.
